Resources
Here you will find a range of databases to aid your research and provide information on individuals who served with the New Zealand Armed Forces.
These have been created through the dedicated research of various NZMHS members but the greatest thanks goes to Christine Clement for her meticulous work in compiling the large amounts of complex information contained in the tables below and allowing the NZMHS to use that here. Thanks also to Nigel Ellis for cleansing and sorting the information you see represented in the tables below.
By following the links below you can discover the New Zealand Rolls of Honour from a range of conflicts along with analysis and interpretation of that data to provide a starting point for your research journey.
You will also see a range of militaria relating to those conflicts which illustrate and identify various regimental and unit memorabilia.
Also of note is the special exclusive NZMHS resource under the WW1 link which contains details of New Zealander’s who served with other allied forces in WW1. This very valuable material was researched and compiled by Peter Cooke. The list contains around 12,000 names and highlights how large the contribution of our small nation to the Great War actually was.
These databases are drawn from the most accurate information we can obtain, however, there will always be times when revision or updating becomes necessary as new information comes to hand. If you do see an entry that needs updating or amending, or you have new information for us, please use the form below to let us know:
